Steel strap, also known as steel strapping or banding, is a strong and durable material made from various grades of steel, designed to secure heavy loads and bundle items together. Its high tensile strength and minimal stretch make it ideal for applications in construction, shipping, manufacturing, and storage, where it ensures the stability and safety of transported or stored goods. By preventing movement and damage during transit, steel strapping plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of materials, making it an indispensable tool across multiple industries.

MVS ACMEI, established in 2009, is a one-stop solution provider for industrial packaging and is a distinguished leader in the industrial packaging industry, providing comprehensive solutions like complete packaging automation & equipment, system integration, supply of in-house packaging consumables, and contract services. Catering to diverse industries that rely on effective packaging, our packaging quality ensures safe and efficient transport, storage, and handling of products, thereby maintaining their integrity and quality with regulatory compliance.

In the past decade, MVS ACMEI has experienced significant growth, expanding from the production of automation equipment and strapping consumables to consuming over one-third of the steel straps we produce internally. This is a testament to our excellence and capability to outperform our own standards month on month. To support this growth, we have inaugurated an advanced steel strap manufacturing facility covering 150,000 sq ft, in Hyderabad, India with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes. This facility is India’s first and only manufacturing unit of its kind at this scale and magnitude.

MVS AUTO STRAP (Regular Duty)

The EMVIUS Auto Strap meets the highest quality requirements in strapping and sets new standards for quality and endurance. The steel strap undergoes a special heat treatment, which ensures its peculiar features like- elongation properties, shock resistance, and higher strength of the finished product and produces an oxide layer that provides it non-corrosive properties. Electrophoretic coating ensures uniform, controlled, and ecological surface treatment. The EMVIUS Auto Strap undergoes a rounding of edges that makes it more secure, reduces abrasions, prevents contamination, and minimizes the risk of injuries. EMVIUS Auto Strap is also treated with a waxed surface to prevent cold welding due to its friction properties. EMVIUS Auto Strap is ideal for automatic strapping applications as well as manual/hand-held endeavors.

MVS MEGA STRAP (Heavy Duty)

High-tensile steel strap that is essential during safe packaging of heavy-duty applications like hot-rolled coils and cold-rolled coils. A special heat treatment induces a structural change in the material exposed to high temperatures, enhancing strength, elongation at break, and shock resistance. This results in tremendous strength, high consistency, and an excellent elongation property of 12%. The MVS ACMEI EMVIUS Mega Strap undergoes several tests. The EMVIUS Mega Strap also undergoes a rounding and waxing surface process that protects from injuries and prevents corrosion. MVS ACMEI EMVIUS Mega Strap is ideal for automatic strapping applications as well as manual/hand-held endeavors. These high-tensile properties make this steel strap ideal for the heaviest applications.

Steel Strap Finish

Painted and waxed

Painted and waxed strapping is the most widely used strapping in all applications. The waxed property improves tension transmission around load corners, while the paint improves corrosion resistance.

Zinc painted and waxed

Zinc finish strapping is waxed and has a zinc-enriched coating to provide outstanding resistance to rust. It has the same improved tension transmission characteristics as painted and waxed strapping.

Blued

Blued strapping, ideal for hot applications and used in spot-welding, produces high joint strengths with basic corrosion resistance

COIL WINDING PACKAGING

Steel strapping coils are palletized and shrouded with VCI (anti-rust) film. Oscillated wound & Ribbon wound skids are normally shroud-wrapped with cardboard for protection in transit.
